LEE COUNTY, Fla.-The Lee County Sheriff's Office and OSHA are investigating two separate incidents at the Lee County Fair after the event was closed. A man in his 40's died Sunday night but the cause of death won't be determined until an autopsy can be performed. Detectives do not suspect foul play and OSHA investigators were on the scene Monday morning at the Lee County Civic Center where the annual fair is held. The victim suffered from some type of medical event and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In an unrelated incident, a fair worker was injured and rushed to the hospital after a part on a ride hit him. According to his family, it was his first day on the job helping to pack up the fair rides. He sustained a broken arm and injuries to his face but is in stable condition.
