CHARLOTTE COUNTY- Punta Gorda Police Detectives arrested two teenagers on charges of robbery and petty theft less than 24 hours after the pizza robbery took place on Wednesday.
Clayton Andre' Stuarts Jr., 19, of Punta Gorda was one of the men arrested. He also faces a charge of possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana. His bond is $4,500.
Eric Antone Nealon, 19, of Punta Gorda was also arrested. His bond is $3,500.
The two were arrested Wednesday after Officer Justin Davoult found the warming bag this morning in a tree near 1630 White Pine Court.
Davoult then made contact with three men in the immediate area: Stuarts, Nealon, and another person who was later released.
Nealon admitted planning the Tuesday night robbery of the delivery driver with Stuarts. Nealon called Hungry Howie's and ordered two large pizzas and a sub sandwich, totaling about $25. He provided a false address for the delivery. Stuarts then allegedly snatched the warming bag containing the food from the driver.
Nealon hid the food boxes in his room and threw the $75 warming bag in the tree.
Both Nealon and Stuarts were taken to the Charlotte County Jail.
