LEE COUNTY- At approximately 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a complaint from a concerned mother advising an adult male was stalking her juvenile teenage daughter.

Deputies responded to meet with the mother and victim and learned of the suspect's physical description and vehicle make and model. Deputies were informed the suspect often shows up at the victim's bus stop, located in the Pine Manor community, near Palm Drive and Seventh Avenue.

Shortly before 8 A.M., deputies on patrol in the area of the victim's bus stop spotted the suspect's vehicle driving toward 7th Avenue, right around the same time the victim would be out waiting for her bus.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the driver, identified as Ronald Richard Vitticore, 64. Vitticore was driving in a green Toyota Camry, the same vehicle description provided by the victim.

Deputies detained Vitticore and through the course of the investigation learned he had often approached girls he thought were "street girls" and prostitutes. He would offer them rides and would tell them to "notify him anytime they needed to make some money."

The victim was also present during the traffic stop. She indicated to deputies that Vitticore had been following her for the past couple of months. She advised he would approach her while she was walking home from school or work and would ask her if she'd like to make money. Other times she spotted him following her to her mother's place of employment or watching her as she left school.

The victim told him to leave her alone each time he approached her, but has recently began to be concerned for her safety.

The victim's sister also spoke to deputies and confirmed the victim's story.

Based on information obtained through the investigation, Ronald Vitticore has been charged with one count of Stalking. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Lee County Jail without incident.
