COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - A Collier County woman has a frightening story. She shows WINK News just how close bullets came to people inside her home during a drive-by shooting.
It happened Thursday night on Terrace Avenue, right between Shadowlawn Drive and Airport Pulling Road.
Samantha Townsend, the woman who lives at the house, tells WINK News the whole thing started because one of the men accused of pulling the trigger didn't like her being friends with his girlfriend.
"My husband's friends were standing right here when it happened. He had to shove his girlfriend on the ground from getting hit," Townsend explains.
It was those friends who recognized one of the men in the car shooting at the house and led deputies right to them. In all three adults and one juvenile were taken to the Naples Jail. The adults are Tara Charles, Jonathan Gedeon, and Steven Lao.
Townsend says Lao gave warning to friends what he was going to do just days earlier. "I'm going to shoot their damn house up and all this. They even talked to them and said look dude she's got kids and that's her mother-in-law's house."
Most of the bullets hit a car normally parked in front, but one of them hit a metal wind chime and then entered the house just feet from someone's head. There were six adults and one child inside Townsend's home when this happened, but no one was hurt.
All four arrested are facing felony charges.
