FORT MYERS, FL- When Larry Young woke up to find his wife's $800 dollar bicycle stolen from his yard in Gulf Air Sunburst RV park, he thought it was a lost cause.
Young says, "I wasn't gonna do anything, but my wife said, here's what we're gonna do."
She had him put his artistic talent to work, sketching from memory the very unique stolen bike.
Young says, "She said you can draw that and I said, I can try."
Young copied the flier and posted several around the community.
A resident of one Fort Myers community says, "Everybody's locking their bikes up now."
It turns out, Young's bike wasn't the only one wheeled away, at least 4 other RV parks were hit, creating quite a stir in this bike and trike populated neighborhood.
"Yesterday morning, it was announced, what had happened and watch out."
Then, someone saw Young's bike, being sold here! at Fleamasters Fleamarket by a man named Francisco Gatica
Young says, "Another lady, had seen the picture, saw the bicycle and put the two pieces together, called the sheriff and the sheriff took over from there."
Young got his bike back and Gatica was arrested.
"He did not work here, he just rented a garage sale space for last weekend."
Donna Matthews from Fleamasters says Gatica never rented a booth before.
It doesn't matter to Young, he's just glad this sketch, helped put a bicycle bandit behind bars.
