CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - The Red Cross is helping a Charlotte County family after fire ripped through their home Tuesday night.
It happened at a home on a private road near I-75 and Oil Well Road, just north of the Lee-Charlotte county line.
Charlotte Fire officials say the fire started on the second floor, then spread to the first floor. Everyone inside got out safely.
Fire crews had to bring in tanker trucks to battle the blaze because there were no hydrants nearby.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating.
