LEE COUNTY- The Fort Myers Police Department received a call in reference to a suspicious person Tuesday at 3:07 p.m. reporting a white male on a bicycle loitering and acting suspicious in a wooded area near S.R. 82 and Shoemaker Boulevard.

The caller became concerned about the safety of a young girl who was walking in the same area and feared the male might be following her.

The caller confronted the male and then called police. The man on the bike took off.

Police setup a perimeter using the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit but have not located the suspect.

The caller described the suspect as a white male with short hair and a medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, a gray polo shirt and had a black backpack.
