FORT MYERS, Fla. - A Delta Airlines flight from Minneapolis to Fort Myers had to make an emergency landing at RSW early Thursday morning.
An Airline spokesman says the plane developed a problem when the door to the nose landing gear woudn't open. The flight crew called ahead so that an an emergency response team would be ready. Flight 2733 landed without incident.
Passenger Yolanda Karas says she was surprised with the seat belt light came on. ""When we landed you could see firetrucks spread across the airport," Karas says. "Once we landed the fire trucks got in a row and followed us in."
Delta says a maintenance team will inspect the nose gear door today and fix any problems so that the plane can return safely return to the air as soon as possible.
