LEE COUNTY, Fla. - The Lee County School Board is still in a deadlock vote on who to name as an Interim Superintedent when Dr Browder steps down as the leader of Lee Co schools at midnight this Friday.
The Board is bouncing around two names: Dr. Gregory Adkins and Dr. Donald Bryant.
Both candidates have roots in Lee County.
Adkins serves as an assistant superintendent to the district, while Bryant currently heads Fort Myers Middle academy.
Just in the past few minutes Dr. Charles Luckys name has also been added to the nominations.
Overall, board members say they just need stability for the district until the new school board will elect a permanent replacement in November, but as of 8PM, they're unable to come to an agreement on who that interim leader will be.
