CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Cape Coral's budget battle is getting heated.
City leaders are trying to slash millions to make ends meet.
The big issue Tuesday night - pay cuts for a fire department force that claims it's already stretched too thin.
Now, hundreds of people are packed inside city hall.
Shortly after the meeting started, council members adopted $7.97 per $1,000 of taxable property value as planned.
