FORT MYERS, Fla. - There are more demands to cut down the huge oak tree in front of the old courthouse in Fort Myers.
Experts said the tree is rotting and two huge branches have broken off in the past ten months.
Now, the county's roadway landscape advisory committee is sending commissioners a letter demanding the tree come down immediately before someone gets hurt.
The county is holding off on removing the tree while wood-workers submit plans on what to do with the trunk.
