CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - A Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics detective arrested Timothy David Weber, 47, 1660 Lakeview Pl., Englewood (Sarasota County) at 1:40 a.m. this morning in an undercover drug sting. The detective and a Street Crimes Unit deputy were operating undercover inside Junior’s Cabaret, 2643 Placida Rd. Englewood.
Weber approached the undercover deputy, struck up a conversation. Weber offered to buy her an Oxycotin pill, in return she would go to his house to watch a movie and continue to party. All three went outside in the parking lot; Weber told the detective he was not a cop, that he was married, and worked at the Englewood Water District. Weber bought the pill from the Narcotics detective and then gave it to the undercover deputy, in exchange for $15.
Once the transaction was completed, other Street Crimes Unit deputies moved in and took Weber into custody. Weber was charged with Attempted Purchase of Oxycotin. He was transported to the Charlotte County Jail and is being held on $2,500 bond. If anyone has information about illegal drug activity, please call the CCSO Narcotics Unit at 941-575-2157, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
