LEE COUNTY, Fla. - More than 600 birds seized in the largest cockfighting operation in Florida history were euthanized last week.

Lee County Animal Services said they were forced to put down the roosters due to health and aggression concerns.

The remaining 39 hens and chicks have been sent to a sanctuary.
