BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - The pastor of a church that was engulfed by flames earlier this week says they were robbed days before.
The Tabernacle of Praise community church went up in flames early Sunday morning, but church leaders weren't able to do an initial assessment until Tuesday night.
During that accessment they noticed close to $2,000 worth of equipment missing, including the church's guitar, amplifier and computer.
"We don't want to believe that there's actually people that could have that kind of heart to destroy something that is to benefit the community," said Gabrial Gramajo, the church's pastor.
The building suffered $150,000 worth of damage due to the fire which was labled accidental due to electrical issues - which has church leaders planning to total it and start over.
"The message we're going to send to all the people in our city, is that we're here and we're going to continue," said Gramajo.
Congregation members have agreed to continue services at a nearby Presbyterian church.
