SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - A Southwest Airlines flight was diverted to Southwest Florida International Airport due to a pressure problem in the plane, according to a spokesperson at RSW.
Flight 778 was flying from Fort Lauderdale to Austin.
A spokesperson for Southwest said as the plane was climbing, the cabin altitude alert light came on.
The 737 landed safely in Fort Myers at 2:24.
A spokesperson at RSW tells WINK three passengers were transported to the hospital. Several others were treated on scene.
The remaining passengers were accommodated by Southwest Airlines.
