COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - Collier County Commissioners are denying voters the right to give their opinion about Jackson Labs and its 130-million dollar price tag.
Now, taxpayers are steaming.
A local company Arthrex would even pick up the $ 300 thousand price tag for the ballot. But commissioners, except for Tom Henning, denied the request. Local taxpayer Janet Vasey asked commissioners to approve a mail in ballot referendum about spending $130 million to bring Jackson Labs, a biomedical company, to Collier.
