LAKE WORTH, Fla. (AP) - A teenage boy was struck by lightning in South Florida.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reports that the 16-year-old was struck by lightning Monday near Lake Worth and was transported to a nearby hospital with a trauma alert.

No other information was immediately available.
