FORT MYERS, Fla. - Police say a one year-old infant has been hospitalized after being shot in the abdomen.

The shooting happened on the 2500 block of Wright Street around 1:30 Saturday afternoon.

Police say the baby has undergone surgery and remains hospitalized.  A suspect has been taken into custody.

The shooting happened about three hours after a separate shooting just a few blocks away on Wright Street that left a man dead.
