NAPLES, Fla. -  Barron Collier High school has lost their band director.  Now, there is concern because there is no director for band camp, which starts in a couple weeks.

A school board meeting was held on Thursday, and students rallied to get her back.

Band Director Kelly Parker was transferred to Golden Terrace Elementary School, due to policy issues.

Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Allun Hamblett said, "Due to issues the district has had with procedural issues over several years, and based on the recommendation of the principal, the district has decided it would be in its best interest to transfer the employee pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement."

WINK News looked at Parker's file and found several violations in the past year, including not filing the paperwork on time for a band trip to Orlando.  She was also suspended last September because she held the kids on the field after the lightening detection system alarm went off.
