FORT MYERS, Fla. - First-time home buyers can get some help getting started.
On Saturday, July 31st, the Florida Department of Financial Services and CredAbility, a non profit HUD approved housing and consumer credit counseling service, are sponsoring a free "First Time Home buyer's Program."
People interested in buying a home, but don't know how to begin, can take classes on the following subjects:
What you can afford, down payment and closing cost assistance, pre-qualifying vs. pre-approval, shopping for interest rates, closing on a home loan, qualifying for a mortgage, free financial counseling, homeowner's insurance, flood insurance, hurricane preparedness, title insurance, and home inspection.
