CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla - A 2 year old is in the hospital fighting for his life.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 10:36 a.m. this morning after the 2 year old boy was found in the family swimming pool on Marlow Street in Port Charlotte.

CCSO Deputies and EMS were dispatched to the home and the child was transported by EMS to Peace River Regional Medical Center. Around 1 p.m. the child was being flown to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg for further treatment.  His condition is not known at this time. CCSO Major Crimes Unit detectives are at the home investigating the incident.
