AFGHANISTAN -A massive search still continues Monday night for the two missing U.S. sailors. The Taliban claims they have both and one is dead.
Insurgent leaders are now offering a trade. They will give up the sailor's body if the U.S. releases some insurgent prisoners. The Taliban will soon determine the fate of the surviving sailor.
American authorities are still searching for both men. Local radio stations in Afghanistan are broadcasting the reward of $20,000 for any information on the sailors.
On a visit to Afghanistan Sunday, U.S. Admiral Mike Mullen called the disappearance "an unusual circumstance."
The U.S. military says the two sailors disappeared in their armored SUV, on their way to a nearby base.
It's unclear why the men apparently wound up deep inside Taliban territory 80 miles south of the capital.
