BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Lee County's Sheriff's office helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in the middle of a busy intersection.

The plane landed on Bonita Beach Road and U.S. 41 around 7:30 Monday evening.

According to the Sheriff's office, the the helicopter was having mechanical issues.  The pilot decided the safest course of action was just to land immediately.
