CAPE CORAL, Fla- The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a suspicious fire on Atlantic Court in Cape Coral.

The four unit apartment complex went up in flames Monday morning around 2am.

One of the units is completely destroyed.

The other three have smoke damage.

The cost of repair is about $150,000.

The apartments were all under renovation, so no one was living in them.

There was also no electricity, which helped investigators determine the fire was deliberately set.

Evidence indicates the fire was set in the lanai area behind the apartments.

Neighbors say they are surprised by the Monday's events.

However, arson fires are a familiar scene in this area.

Back in October, Bimini Garden apartments had three suspicious fires within days of each other.

Four apartments and a car were destroyed.

Bimini Garden apartments is on Tarpon Court, which is about two blocks away from where Monday's apartment fire was.

No one was arrested in the Bimini Garden fires.

It's unclear if they are connected.
