SWFL International, Fla - The Lee County Port Authority says American Airlines flight 271 made an emergency landing at Southwest International airport Friday.

The Miami-Los Angeles flight was diverted after reports of an electrical problem.

The 757 - carrying 189 passengers - touched down safely at 12:43pm.

A new plane will arrive to get travellers to their destination between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m.

Authorities say the problem wasn't that serious.
