TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - The wife of a slain Tampa Police officer gave birth to a stillborn baby girl.
Sara Kocab was nine months pregnant when her husband, Jeffrey Kocab, and another officer, David Curtis, were gunned down June 29 during a traffic stop in Tampa.
Tampa Police say Sara Kocab delivered the baby Wednesday. She and her family knew during the pregnancy that the baby - who they named Lilly Nicole - had a major abnormality that could result in her being born stillborn.
Sara Kocab thanked the community for its support.
Dontae Morris, 24 is accused of shooting Kocab and Curtis; he is being held without bond at the Hillsborough County Jail.
