CAPE CORAL, FL - Several Cape Coral families are worried that a city ordinance may force them to say good-bye to their beloved family pets.
WINK News spoke to Wayne Wilson who owns "Baby". A 120 + pound pot bellied pig. Wilson says he and his daughter raised the pig from a little piglet.
The Cape's ordinance says no resident is allowed to keep livestock in a residential area. Swine fall into that catagory.
Wilson says his pet needs a special catagory because as he puts it, "I'm not raising her to eat her."
Wayne Wilson will take his fight to keep his pet to the Cape Coral city council meeting on Monday, July 26 to ask for a revision to the oridnance.
