A construction worker lost his leg and died in an accident at a construction site Wednesday.

The Lee County Sheriff's office confirms the accident in a residential neighborhood in San Carlos Park..

The worker was helping to build a swimming pool when his leg became caught in a auger.

OSHA has also opened an investigation to determine what happened.
