LEE COUNTY, Fla - The Sheriff's office has called off a search for a Cape Coral murder suspect in an Estero neighborhood.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office confirms they were looking for Timothy Tuttle, one of two suspects in a deadly home invasion in Cape Coral earlier this month. Deputies say Tuttle was last seen wearing only blue jeans, no shirt or shoes, and may have several cuts from running through wooded areas.
The Lee County Sheriffs Office closed some roads near the Country Oaks Community while they conducted their search.
The search began when someone called 911 after coming home to find their front door open. Reverse 911 was used to contact people in the neighborhood, urging them to stay inside and lock their doors during the six hour manhunt.
