Neighbors rescue woman from house fire

SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - Maureen Black is recovering in the hospital after being pulled from a house fire by neighbors.
Rescuers using a spare key to open the front door of her town house at Summerlin Trace late Sunday afternoon. The 69-year-old woman was able to crawl out of her bedroom, but was unable to make it outside.
In all 6 town homes were damaged in the fire.
Black's dog, however, was unable to make it out alive.
Two people were rushed to the hospital and a firefighter received treatment on-scene for heat exhaustion.
Black remains in intensive care at Gulf Coast Hospital.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
