CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Cape Police arrested two suspects after they attacked a bicyclist and stole his bike on Saturday night. Cornelius Robinson and Angel K. Quinones were charged with Robbery after knocking the victim from his bike and stealing the bicycle. Robinson also was charged with Battery after hitting the victim in the face.
At 9:37 p.m., Cape Police responded to a 911 call of a disturbance in progress in the 1400 block of Del Prado Boulevard South. According to the victim, he was leaving the Clubhouse Bar on his bicycle when he was confronted by four males who began to harass him. He stated that Quinones knocked him from his bicycle, and Robinson then struck him in the face. The two men took his bicycle and left the parking lot.
Cape Police Officers with Platoon Four (Central District) were able to detain four males in the 1300 block of Del Prado who met the descriptions of the suspects. Officers determined that Robinson and Quinones were responsible for the crime, and the two were taken into custody and charged with Robbery. Robinson also was charged with Battery, booked and transported to the Lee County Jail. Quinones was taken the Juvenile Assessment Center.
