FORT MYERS, Fla.-We're here and we're oil free! That's the idea Fort Myers locals want to promote as dozens of volunteers help shoot a music video in downtown Fort Myers.
It's being called a one-shot video and it's aimed at putting the Fort Myers River District on the national map. It will feature local music, scenes and volunteers. The idea is to showcase the area and people but in one continuous shot.
The video being shot in Fort Myers will be a single, three minute shot designed to highlight areas of downtown. The performers in the video will be placed along a route in downtown and they will lip synch to a song by local artist Jen Mack.
The song is called "Pale Blue". They will pass by businesses, bars and restaurants, art galleries and wrap up outside Hotel Indigo.
The entire shoot is scheduled for Thursday night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The local internet marketing company "New Example" plans to release the video Monday, August 2nd. They say they have 110 volunteers already.
