CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla - Charlotte State Bank is accepting donations of school supplies for Charlotte County students in need of assistance for the upcoming school year. Supplies collected at the bank will be distributed free during the Back to School Carnival at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County on July 31. School supplies may be brought to any Charlotte State Bank location through July 30:
- Port Charlotte Office, 1100 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte
- Punta Gorda Office, 2331 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda
- Midtown Office, 3002 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte
- Peachland Office, 24163 Peachland Blvd., Port Charlotte
- Charlotte Harbor Office, 23112 Harborview Road, Port Charlotte
Donations will be accepted during regular lobby hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The Cultural Center is teaming with Charlotte County Public Schools for the Back to School Carnival, which will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 31, at the Cultural Center, 2280 Aaron St., Port Charlotte. The carnival will include games, educational and safety information for parents and students, and prizes, all centered on school supplies. The Charlotte County Health Department will be providing free Immunizations and physicals to children without insurance.
