Cape Coral, Fla -  Cape Coral Police release new details about a brutal home invasion that left a man dead.

28 year-old Eric Stuebinger was kill Saturday morning after two masked men stormed his home on Northwest 2nd Avenue.

Stuebinger's girlfriend and son were also home at the time.

They were not hurt.

The girlfriend tells police two masked men broke into the home demanding money and drugs.

When Stuebinger denied having anything, he was beaten, shot with a taser and then killed with a handgun.

Neighbors like Dominic Naro are surprised.

"I don't like it one bit. I'm hoping they find out what's going on," Naro said.

Stuebinger had been arrested this past December on battery charges.

He also had previous arrests for drug possession.

The suspect or suspects are still on the loose.

Neighbors like Dominic Naro say they will more vigilant about their own protection.

"No doubt about it. I'm going to keep my eyes open now. No doubt about that," he said.
