CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla - Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Harbour Heights man this morning that worked for an air-conditioning repair company and is accused of stealing prescription drugs from client’s homes.
Deputies were called by the owner of AA Temperature Services in Deep Creek after he fired employee Scott Nathaniel Doran. The owner said Doran admitted to soliciting cash from current customers so Doran could open his own business. When Doran turned over the keys to the company work van, the owner found a prescription bottle with Oxycodone/Percocet pills with the name of a customer on the label. A further search of the company van located an aspirin bottle with Xanax.
Deputies then asked Doran for permission to search his pickup and he consented. In his personal vehicle deputies found a prescription bottle of Vicodin that was taken from another customer. Doran was taken into custody and his pickup sealed off and transported to the CCSO Forensics for further processing. Deputies also began forfeiture proceedings on the vehicle.
Doran is charged with Possession of Percocet, Possession of Vicodin and Possession of Xanax. The investigation continues and more charges may be filed.
