Lee County, Fla - A sigh of relief.
Citizens Insurance now says they're certain their customers personal information did not end up in the wrong hands.
The news come after someone fraudulently submitted a change of address form for Citizens Insurance and redirected some of the company's mail to an address in Hialeah.
There was concern policyholders checks could be cashed, or worse their personal information stolen.
On Wednesday, the US Postal Services says after an internal investigation and working closely with Citizens Insurance they say no mail was ever delivered to a fraudulent address.
A postal delivery office also confirms they never dropped off mail to the address in that city.
The investigation has been turned over to the Postal Inspection Service, who is working to figure out who submitted the change of address form.
That person could face a handful of federal charges for tampering with mail.
