CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla - A pilot is okay after landing his bi-plane on a State Road 31 in Charlotte County.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office received a call at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday of a pilot who landed his small single engine bi-plane aircraft on the highway not far north of the Lee County line.

Deputies report the aircraft landed and went off into a ditch. The pilot is fine.

Traffic was not affected.
