Parts of Fort Myers Beach are under a boil water notice.

The beach experienced a water main break on Strandview on Tuesday forcing the utility to issue the precautionary boil water notice.

This affects residents and businesses in the  Times Square area and South on the beach.

The boil water notice will remain in effect for 48 hours.
