The Charlotte County Sheriff's office received a call about 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday about a traffic crash on Cochran Boulevard near the Books a Million store.

The accident involved a motorcycle and another vehicle.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.  Motorcycle parts were strewn all over Cochran Boulevard.

Traffic had to be shut down at the accident sight near the Books a Million.

The Medstar helicopter was called in and transported a victim to Peace River Medical Center
