MARCO ISLAND, Fla. - A Marco Island restaurant was robbed early Saturday morning while employees were closing. It happened at The Crazy Flamingo just after 2:00 in the morning.
Two employees were tied up, but deputies say one of those employees, Cory Giaquinta, was the mastermind of the robbery and played along while his friend did the dirty work.
Giaquinta and an unsuspecting employee were both tied up, but later, Giaquinta and his friend were arrested.
More than $3,000 was taken, but most of it was recovered.
