MARCO ISLAND, Fla.- Two men are under arrest after a reported armed robbery at the Flamingo Inn on Marco Island early Saturday morning.

The employees stated that  a male dressed in all black, with his face covered entered the restaurant and told the employees to get in the back room and to get the money.  The employees stated that the male suspect took the money from them threatening them with a knife and taped both of the employees to chairs in the back room of the establishment.

The male then fled from the building after taking an undetermined amount of cash .  The employees stated they were able to break free from the tape and immediately called the police. 

Witnesses observed the male leave the area in a dark colored Ford pick-up truck.
A follow-up investigation by Marco Island Police Department Detectives led to the arrest of the suspect, as well as the arrest of one of the alleged victims who confessed to his involvement in the robbery along with the suspect. 
The suspect’s vehicle, bank bag, money and the knife have been recovered.

The investigation continues into other criminal activity.
