Cape Coral, Fla - A Cape Coral couple needs your help.
Over the weekend their home was broken into.
Thousands of dollars stolen as well as something more valuable, the family pet.
"I feel very violated. I never had anything like this happen to me before, said Sarah Johnson.
On Saturday she and her boyfriend left their home on NW 33rd Terrace to go to work.
Eight hours later they returned to a house torn apart and burglarized.
Their front door smashed.
Inside, their home was in shambles.
"Our bedroom was destroyed. Everything was all everywhere. Our draws were all out," Johnson said.
The thieves got away a lot of valuables.
"Guns were stolen. Cash was stolen. A lot of jewelry," Johnson told WINK News.
Also taken was Sarah's two month old puppy named Jazz.
A gift to her last week.
Sadly, Jazz has worms and needs his medication or he could die.
"It's very scary. We never heard anything in this neighborhood before," Sarah said.
Investigators did lift finger prints.
Sarah hopes the cops will catch the crooks and she'll get Jazz back.
Anyone with information is asked to call Cape Coral Police.
