LEE COUNTY, Fla - FGCU President Wilson Bradshaw announced Tuesday that the university will hire an outside consultant to do a study on what it would cost for a football program at FGCU.
FGCU has not decided to start a program, instead they are doing a feasibility study to determine the cost should they later decide to start one.
University spokeswoman Susan Evans says the costs of a football program would have to be paid for completely from private, donor funds. Evans says there is an interest in football at FGCU, but the university has never had a detailed analysis of what it would actually cost.
