FORT MYERS, Fla - Florida Fish and Wildlife officers are trying to trap a bear in a neighborhood near the Edison Mall in Fort Myers.
The bear was spotted in the area of Winkler Ave. and Solomon Dr. shortly after Noon.
Wildlife officers say it is relatively small bear, about 130 pounds, Officers are bringing in a trap to capture the bear and relocate it to a safe area.
FWC says the bear if most likely looking for berries to eat. In the summer they take in 10,000 calories per day. Officers say smaller bears are often pushed out of other areas by larger male bears.
