A massive search effort is underway to find a missing boater off Fort Myers Beach.
The Lee County Sheriff's office says two men in their 20's were on a 20 foot boat in the area near Carlos Pass when they hit a sandbar and were thrown into the water.
One man managed to swim ashore and was taken to the hospital.
The other hasn't been seen since.
The Coast Guard tells WINK News they searched into the night, but ended the search at 4am. The search resumes at first light.
