Work begins Wednesday to remove asbestos-contaminated soil from a Lee County road project.
It's on the south side of the intersection of Summerlin and College Parkway. Work stopped last November after inspectors found the harmful material.
A construction company may face penalties for running late on the project. It was supposed to be completed in July. Now, with the delays, it will likely be December.
