FORT MYERS, Fla.- 1975 Fort Myers High graduate, Paul Asmuth has been inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame Fort Lauderdale...

The former Greenwave made waves in the in the 1980's,winning seven world marathon swimming championships and was inducted into the Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 1982.

 

In 1985, he set a men's world record, swimming the across the English Channel in 8-hours and 12-minutes. He was also the first person to ever swim from Natucket  to Cape Code.
