Update: Police release name of victim in Pine Island stabbing; suspect sought

PINE ISLAND, Fla. - Lee County Deputies are searching for a suspect in a fatal stabbing Wednesday night in Bokeelia.

Deputies tell WINK News they responded to a possible stabbing on Judith Road, near Stringfellow.  The caller stated a man had come into her yard screaming that he had been stabbed.  The victim was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with a stab wound to the side.  He later died.

Detectives say they have learned the identity of the suspect, and conducted an extensive search, but have not located him yet.  The victim and the suspect have not been identified.
