The Florida Commission on Ethics will recommend that the Governor censure and fine former Cape Coral city councilman Mickey Rosado.
The commission agreed with a judge who found a violation of the law and recommended a $7,500 civil penalty, and public censure and reprimand.
The commission's order will be entered on Wednesday. Next, the case file goes to the governor to impose the penalty regulations suggested by the commission.
Rosado has the right to appeal it to the FL district court of appeals. He has 30 days from the date the order is filed to file his appeal.
Rosado pled guilty to operating as a real estate broker without a license in 2008. He was also accused of misusing confidential information he learned while serving on the Cape City council.
