COOLUM, Australia (AP) - Former U.S. PGA champion Y.E. Yang has taken a one-stroke clubhouse lead at the Australian PGA on Friday with a 4-under-par 68 in ideal scoring conditions.

With most of the morning field complete, Yang has a two-round total of 137 on the Hyatt Coolum resort course. Australians Stuart Appleby (68) and Jason Day (69) and Taiwan's Chan Shih-chang (69) were tied for second at 138, while first-round co-leader Steven Bowditch shot 73 and was two strokes off the lead along with Aaron Baddeley (72).

American Bubba Watson, tied for second after the first round, had an afternoon start Friday along with the marquee grouping of British Open champion Darren Clarke, Greg Norman and Adam Scott.
